About the horses

Paddy (the black one)
is a 13 year old gelding. Probably a Fell. He's 14.3hh with lots of personality and a broad (wicked?) sense of humour. He's used for RDA, where he's a star. Out on hacks is another story though! Pet hates include pigs, cattle and garden ornaments. He's done well in local competitions and is a demon over cross country.The Ridgeway will be his swansong, after which he gets to take it easy (although he may have a different opinion!).
Ryscheyed (the grey)
is a 14.2hh, 8 year old Arab gelding. He's a real muck magnet and a typical Arab. Occasionally a bit of a drama queen, he often looks to Paddy as an example, which can be interesting. He is bred for endurance and has a spectacular turn of speed (and a hell of a buck), so the ride should be a breeze for him.

15th April '07

We have a photographer from the East Anglian Daily Times coming tomorrow, so we thought it was about time the boys (Paddy and Ryscheyed) had their spring bath. They are pretty scruffy and hairy after a winter in rugs. Ryscheyed in particular is a right muck monster...typical grey! it was a perfect day for it, so of course we changed our minds and decided to go for a ride instead. Well, we do need to get them fit, not to mention us, and they would only roll anyway.
So, it's up at stupid o'clock tomorrow morning for a shampoo and set to make them look pretty. Hopefully they will both behave themselves and not make us look like complete pillocks!
